With the outdoor harvest behind us in Oregon, many are wondering what they are going to do with all that sugar-leaf! (For those who don't know what sugar-leaf is, it is the leaf trimmed from the flowers/buds.) Many know what a great gift these are, but some are unaware of their medicinal value. We have found that making capsules using this material makes for a remedy that out performs bud-caps for pain and migraine relief! Patients are of course delighted as they do not need the more expensive bud which can then be used for other remedies such as ACKR Oil and the like. What a blessing! We look forward to helping you feel better - give us a call and make your appointment!
Greetings! November is more than half way over and December will be here before we know it. We will have very limited appointments available the last couple weeks of the month of December, so we are encouraging you to come in the first two weeks of the month.
Next, a change at the beginning of the year. Starting January 2, 2013, we will be seeing members on an appointment only basis. This is necessary so we are able to get your remedies prepared. We will have same-day appointments available, we just need to plan our schedule according to when you will be here. Pre-planned appointments are fine, too. You are busy people just as we are, and your time is as valuable as ours. We will respect your time by being available for your appointment at the scheduled time, and thank you for doing the same. We highly suggest you avoid the train tracks near Queen and Pacific
Avenues where the switching occurs. This occurs at all times of the day, and always when you are running late! Check the map here to see how to easily avoid this intersection.
Additionally, beginning January 2nd, appointments will be needed to drop off or pick up your products or remedies. Please feel free to call ANYTIME and leave a message to request an appointment time and we will call you back to confirm (541) 981-2620 is the number to call. Please tell us a day and time, along with the phone number you can be reached at... or even better yet - click HERE to make an appointment online. Knowing that the holiday season is a busy one, Kendra and I feel we should let you know this now. Please tell a friend and like us on our main page HERE while you are at it.
When possible, I like to answer the questions that I see in the "search engine results". Today I see...
1. Shingles ommp
2. Why do I have to put down a helper (for) OMMP
3. Can you get an OMMP card for a broken bone (or insomnia)
4. Can I use Rick Simpson Oil in brownies
From the top!
1. Shingles is yet another condition that Cannabis is useful for. Applying liniment or super-salve to the pustules will most often stop the itching and pain and reduce the swelling. According to Dr Lester Grinspoon, Cannabis possibly kills the herpes virus, so it is likely that applying liniment to pustules will help you get over the attack sooner.
2. The Oregon Medical Marijuana Program (OMMP) requires each patient to show a grower, but a caregiver is not required. My best guess on why you must "have a helper" is so they are able to see who your grower is, or where you are producing your Cannabis.
3. I doubt if a current broken bone will get you a card because once the bone heals the pain should go away. If you have severe pain from a past broken bone, that pain would be a qualifying condition.
Currently, insomnia is not a qualifying condition.
The following conditions are qualifiers: Agitation related to Alzheimer's disease, Cachexia, Cancer, Glaucoma, AIDS, Nausea, Severe Pain, Seizures, including but not limited to epilepsy, Persistent muscle spasms, including but not limited to those caused by Multiple Sclerosis.
Keep in mind, a diagnosis of nausea is not required - having nausea due to the medication you take or because of a condition you have qualifies a patient to use Cannabis if the doctor will sign your paperwork.
4. "Rick Simpson Oil" is very concentrated. Yes, you could use it in brownies, but you would want to be cautious about how much you used.
Thank you for voting YES on Measure 80, thank you for making phone calls, telling your friends and relatives about the many benefits of Cannabis so they were educated to Measure 80. You did that, right? Well, if you didn't, I would bet that we may have another chance at doing that again if there isn't movement from "upper management" to let go of the negative control. We have a right to use a plant Our Creator gave us that ... makes us feel better physically and mentally without negative health effects ... a plant that has never killed anyone - that you cannot overdose and kill yourself with!
When you are dealing with a person who is using Cannabis (smokeless, or otherwise) they are not on a substance such as "Oxy" that will make them later turn to Heroin. This news article, in the Statesman Journal, (which you can read here in a new link later) will tell you all about that and how the number of heroin deaths is rising at an alarming number. Cannabis doesn't kill anyone, or lead them to heroin, but has always been accused of doing so. Please learn the truth, and learn about the many benefits Cannabis and Industrial Hemp. Stay tuned, we are going to get America BACK ON HER FEET! If we are going to be forced to provide our own healthcare, then we can use Cannabis to do it, right?
I'm Rhea ... I own the place. My beautiful daughter Kendra manages the Canna Kitchen Store (and more!) We're a great team committed to helping you with all of your smokeless Cannabis needs. Come see us, you'll be glad you did!
