Here we sit in Albany with no safe, legal access to Medical Cannabis unless you grow you own or have a grower. But ask most of your City Council members and the Mayor (elected officials, I might add) and they'll have you drive to the next town that doesn't ban Medical Marijuana businesses to get yours.
That's not right, or acceptable. Gas is nearly $4 a gallon again, and it's your time and money. We must let the councilors, and our grocers and clothiers, know that if we have to go to the next town over to buy our Cannabis, we'll be buying our groceries and clothes and shoes and whatnot while we're over there so we can get it done and get home to medicate. It's important to let the store owners and managers in Albany know, so they can let the Councilors know what they think of a moratorium as well. And that they vote.
Please remember that nearly 2-1/2 years ago the City of Albany approved Albany's Canna Kitchen & Research, LLC as a Medical Marijuana Business ... so, it's only right that we be grandfathered to continue as we were, at the very least.
The Councilors would like to hear your opinion on that, and on our location, since we are in an area zoned light-industrial next to a neighborhood. Come see our location, you'll see we're not "in a neighborhood!" Please keep in mind, an email to the council is always best because it is written testimony of what you said, and it is a matter of record that you said it, so your have a right to appeal if you don't like the decision.
The contact information is below. Click on the name and your email provider should open with their address in the to window. If not, perhaps you can copy and paste. Not sure which ward you're in? Click HERE for the City of Albany ward map.
Please urge them to vote NO.
We will be closed for approximately two weeks while we re-configure for our new setup at Albany's Canna Kitchen & Research, LLC. Thank you for your patience and we look forward to seeing you soon thereafter. We have been contacted by a couple of organic growers and are still looking for more if you know of any to recommend.
With the current testing requirements ... I imagine we will be making most of our capsules, tincture, suppositories and salves in large batches. This has positives to it, so we will focus on those. It will be interesting to see how it all washes out, so to speak (PUN!) [being the weed-washers ... that's a pretty good one].
At any rate ... tomorrow I will be in a meeting for most of the day, and then we will be figuring out what to do where. I do wish I was more creative! We will be needing more doors if anyone has any they'd like to be rid of. The only downside is, Kendra doesn't have her little station wagon any longer so I have no way to haul them.
Thank you everyone for your support, it is truly appreciated and we are so very excited about moving forward!
We are open today, getting rid of the last of what is on-hand so it doesn't have to be tested for THC/CBD content tomorrow. Do we have something of yours, or something you would like to have? TODAY is the day to get it!
We will likely be closed a few days in the next two weeks as we prepare to move forward. We are very excited about the future, and will do everything we can to get testing done at the best value for you. (We will be open on Tuesday for those who have appointments, no worries!)
We look forward to a continued relationship with our current patients, and we are excited about helping hundreds of others with our Smokeless Cannabis Remedies!
Blessings - give us a call before you come in: 541-981-2620. Thank you and we will see you soon!
I'm Rhea ... I own the place. My beautiful daughter Kendra and I opened Albany's Canna Kitchen & Research, LLC on 11/11/11. She grew up, married, and moved away ... life has continued and we've had to make a number of changes and adjustments to continue. I am very excited to be teaching people how to make life-changing, life-saving Smokeless Cannabis Remedies.
